Leadership effectiveness
Rated or revealed ability to coordinate a group. Not the same as being chosen as leader.
Mehta and Josephs used observer ratings of leader-like behavior in a lab task. That is not CEO performance, promotion velocity, or founder outcomes. The construct leap from 20-minute group tasks to 'success' is where folklore is born.
