Prenatal famine exposure
Exposure to famine while still in the womb, dated by the Dutch Hunger Winter of 1944-1945. It is an intrauterine date, not an adult diet.
Researchers in the Dutch Famine Birth Cohort mark people by whether they were in utero during the Hunger Winter, and in which trimester. That is a famine date, not a weighed maternal diet. Adult eating window, ultra-processed food, and sleep are later life. This page is intrauterine undernutrition.

Higher Prenatal famine exposure increases Insulin resistance (HOMA-IR).
People exposed to the Dutch Hunger Winter in utero had higher 120-minute glucose at age 58, and a smaller IVGTT subsample showed worse glucose tolerance after mid-gestation famine. Nobody randomized a siege.
