Youth / fertility preference in partners
Stated or revealed preference for younger or higher-fertility-cue partners.
Cross-cultural inventories (Buss 1989) find a male-typical tilt toward youth cues. Speed-dating work shows the tilt is real in revealed choice but is moderated by the chooser's own market position and by the attribute set on the table.
Also called age preference, fertility cues.
